Initially, our processing and storage equipment will be containerized. We plan to rent a space and construct this equipment away from our main farm site.
Our members possess a diverse set of skills that will contribute to the development of these processing centers. From farm feed to hatcheries, and from bakeries to butcher shops and chicken processing, everything is designed to be cost-effective from the outset. We will require welders, electricians, carpenters, refrigeration technicians, heavy equipment operators, and other partners to complete these containerized solutions and deploy them on the farm. Once installed, the operational cost per square foot is significantly lower than traditional brick-and-mortar sites. These units do not require building permits; the only necessary permit is for connecting utilities.
Refrigerated facilities, particularly cold storage panel construction, are among the most cost-effective construction methods available in the current market. We plan to eventually construct a processing and distribution center for our farm. On farm property,
Investing in quality farm implements is a key strategy to reduce labor hours in the field. We plan to purchase these as necessary. Fortunately, with farms upgrading their equipment, there’s an abundance of both used and new options available for acquisition.
