Cooperative Managing Structure
The cooperative will be governed by a five-person board responsible for overseeing steering committees, project management, finances, and the overall well-being and community engagement of the farm.
Steering committees will oversee the management of the farm’s various sections, totaling approximately 35.
The aim is to maintain simplicity and fairness. With numerous sections to oversee, there is an abundance of tasks. Steering committees will monitor their respective departments. Three board members are elected annually through a vote by the general members and partners. Board members volunteer their time, while serving on steering committees is obligatory. Every six months, names of those who have not yet served will be drawn from a hat, and steering committee hours will contribute towards Partner Membership hours.
